I am so pleased to offer you this one day online training in coaching & mentoring. I have taught this workshop countless times and loved every one!
Whether you’re in a leadership position, want to improve your personal development, or aim to be a full time coach, the coaching skillset is one you will never regret gaining. Since being introduced to coaching, my life has improved in a way I could never have imagined. As a coach who has worked with hundreds of clients, I can tell you that helping others become the best version of themselves is truly one of the most satisfying feelings I can think of; whether it’s helping a friend or loved one over a cup of coffee, or helping learners to gain empowerment in the classroom, you’ll find hundreds of applications for what you will learn in this workshop.
What does the coaching skillset help me do?
Many people think coaching is a synonym for giving advice, which has lead to confusion about what coaches really do and how to recognize a suitably trained and experienced coach from someone who has simply decided to use the title.
Turn problems into opportunities, take the time to really listen to someone, ask the right questions in the right way and at the right time, build trust and cooperation with someone quickly whether they know them or not, help people overcome beliefs which disempower them, help people set realistic goals and action plans to achieve them, encourage people to recognize strengths and areas for improvement, and operate ethically within their responsible scope of practice so they do no harm. These are all challenges that come with human interaction, and they are certainly the challenges coaches need training and practice to overcome.
This one day deep dive will unpack all of these elements, provide you with the underlying knowledge and tools you need to take a coaching interaction from start to finish responsibly, and give you the time to practice each skill throughout the day with other budding coaches just like you.
You’ll hear me share the why, what, how, and what if’s of coaching from over a thousand hours of experience. I’ll help you understand by giving plenty of examples from my work with clients i’ve worked with from the tech industry, military, church, and everything in between!
