Want To Improve The Quality of Your Life In Minutes? Try This Quick Exercise!

I don’t know if you’ve noticed this about yourself, but most of my clients come to see me because they feel lost or unhappy in general. Some are aware of specific issues in their life, and most aren’t. Because all areas of our lives are intertwined, we have to dig down and find where the discomfort is coming from. The wheel of life is one of the best tools for doing this! It will help you assess how things are now, prioritize which area you’d like to work on, and figure out what needs to happen in order to make meaningful progress.

Step 1: Rate each area of your life as it is now on a scale of 0-10, with 10 being the best, and 0 being the worst.

Step 2: For each area which is not a 10, ask the following question “For what reason is this a (insert number) and not a 10?” Write down the answers, these are the things that your unconscious mind wants you to achieve to make improvements to this area of your life. Top tip - Start with the lowest number as this is where you can make the biggest difference!

Step 3: Set goals around moving the numbers up one at a time, so for example, if you get a 6 for finances, as yourself what can I do to make this a 7 or 8? Then set a goal to make it happen! Top Tip! Setting goals which are too big can be overwhelming and cause you to become demotivated and drop off.

Now that you know how you’re doing in each area of your life, it’s important to re assess periodically so you can track progress and maintain a good connection to what is happening in all areas of your life as this is what will ultimately create the holistic feeling or sense of how things are going.
